Community Submission Terms

Overview

These terms govern the submission of photos to MintyBrick's Community Builds gallery. By submitting content, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't submit.

Our goal is simple: celebrate the LEGO community by showcasing awesome builds from fans like you. These terms protect both you and us while making that possible.

Eligibility

To submit content to MintyBrick, you must:

• Be at least 13 years old
• Have the legal right to grant the permissions described below
• Provide a valid email address (for our communication only—never published)

If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that your parent or guardian has reviewed and consents to these terms.

What You're Agreeing To

Your Confirmations

By submitting a photo, you confirm that:

• The photo is your own original work
• You took the photo yourself (or have permission from the photographer)
• The LEGO build shown is your own creation or a set you personally built
• The photo does not contain anyone's likeness without their permission
• The submission does not infringe on anyone else's rights
• The content is appropriate for all ages and does not contain anything offensive, explicit, or harmful

License You Grant Us

By submitting content, you grant MintyBrick a:

• Non-exclusive license (you can still use and share your photo anywhere)
• Royalty-free license (we don't pay you, you don't pay us)
• Worldwide license (the internet is global)
• Perpetual license (until you request removal—see below)

This license allows us to:

• Display your photo on the MintyBrick website
• Share your photo on MintyBrick social media accounts (Instagram, etc.)
• Resize, crop, or optimize your photo for display purposes
• Add a small watermark or credit overlay
• Include your photo in promotional materials for MintyBrick

What we will NOT do:

• Sell your photo
• License your photo to third parties
• Use your photo in paid advertising (other than organic social posts)
• Claim ownership of your photo (you retain all ownership rights)
• Use your photo in any way that misrepresents you or your work

How We'll Credit You

If your submission is approved and displayed, we will credit you using:

• The display name you provide
• Your Instagram handle (if provided), linked to your profile
• Your location (if provided)

We will never display your email address.

Our Rights

MintyBrick reserves the right to:

• Accept or reject any submission at our sole discretion, for any reason or no reason
• Remove any content at any time, even if previously approved
• Edit accompanying text (descriptions) for clarity, length, grammar, or appropriateness
• Not respond to every submission (we'll do our best, but we're a small team)

We do not guarantee that any submission will be published. Submission does not create any obligation on our part.

Content Guidelines

Submissions must be:

• Related to LEGO or compatible brick-based building toys
• Family-friendly and appropriate for all ages
• Respectful and non-offensive

We will reject submissions that contain:

• Explicit, violent, or adult content
• Hate speech, discrimination, or harassment
• Dangerous or illegal activities
• Spam, advertising, or self-promotion beyond reasonable build description
• Content that infringes on others' intellectual property
• Misleading information (e.g., claiming someone else's build as your own)

Your Right to Remove

Changed your mind? No problem. You may request removal of your submission at any time by emailing privacy@getmintybrick.com with:

• The email address you used to submit
• A description or link to the content you want removed

We will remove your content from our website within 30 days. Note that we cannot remove content that has already been shared on social media by third parties, or content that has been cached by search engines (though these typically update over time).

Privacy

Your submission data is handled according to our Privacy Policy. Key points:

• Your email address is never published or shared
• We only use your email to contact you about your submission
• Pending/rejected submissions are deleted within 90 days
• We never sell any of your data

No Compensation

Submissions are made voluntarily. You will not receive payment, prizes, or other compensation for your submission, whether or not it is published. The benefit you receive is exposure and recognition within the LEGO fan community.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MintyBrick, Park Street Post, Inc., and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from:

• Your submission
• Your breach of these terms
• Your violation of any third party's rights

In plain English: if your submission causes legal problems (e.g., you submitted someone else's photo and they sue), you're responsible, not us.

Limitation of Liability

MintyBrick is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Technical issues preventing submission or display
• Lost or corrupted submissions
• Unauthorized access to submissions (though we take reasonable security precautions)
• Any damages arising from your use of the site or submission process

In no event shall our total liability exceed $100 USD.

Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in these courts.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes apply to submissions made after the update. We will not retroactively change how we use previously submitted content in ways that are materially different from what was agreed at the time of submission.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts remain in full effect.
